Welcome to CampusPlug. By using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CampusPlug, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Eligibility

To use CampusPlug, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Be a current student at a Nigerian university or tertiary institution
  • Provide accurate and truthful information about yourself and your campus affiliation

Some features may require additional review. In particular, seller verification may require a valid student ID, selfie, or other checks before a seller badge is granted.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use.

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
  • Sell prohibited items (drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen items)
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Use the platform for illegal activities
  • Create multiple accounts or impersonate others
  • Attempt to manipulate the trust score system
  • Circumvent security features
  • Spam or send unsolicited messages

5. Listings and Transactions

CampusPlug facilitates connections between buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction and do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed. Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that their listings are accurate, lawful, and available for sale. Buyers are responsible for reviewing item details, seller trust signals, and meeting arrangements before completing a transaction.

6. Payments and Fees

In-App Purchases

Premium features, subscriptions, and promotional boosts are purchased through your device's app store — Google Play on Android or the App Store on iOS. By making an in-app purchase, you agree to the respective store's terms of service.

  • Refunds (Android): Refund requests are handled by Google Play. Visit Google Play Help to request a refund.
  • Refunds (iOS): Refund requests are handled by Apple. Visit Apple Support to request a refund.
  • Subscriptions: Subscriptions can be managed and cancelled through your app store settings at any time. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current period.
  • Price Changes: We may adjust pricing with advance notice. Continued use after price changes constitutes acceptance.

Peer-to-Peer Marketplace Transactions

CampusPlug connects buyers and sellers but does not process payments for marketplace trades. Users arrange payment directly (cash, bank transfer, etc.). CampusPlug is not responsible for payment disputes between users.

If a payment is authorized but not immediately reflected in your account, CampusPlug may verify or reconcile the payment through secure server-side checks and webhook processing before the related feature is activated.

7. Intellectual Property

CampusPlug and its content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission. You retain ownership of content you post but grant us a license to use it for operating our services.

8. Disclaimers

CampusPlug is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that the platform will be error-free. We are not responsible for user-generated content or transactions between users.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CampusPlug shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with Nigerian law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

We may also limit listings, remove prohibited content, revoke seller verification, or restrict monetized features where needed to protect users, investigate abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of CampusPlug after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
